In his last three races, on Dec. 28, 2014, Feb. 21, 2015 and Dec. 26, 2016, he won the Grade III Daytona Stakes, the Sensational Star Stakes and the Grade III San Simeon Stakes, all over Santa Anita’s unique downhill turf course at about 6 ½ furlongs. This year’s edition of the Sensational Star, part of the popular and lucrative Golden State Series, also will be decided at about 6 ½ furlongs on turf.“He can just flat out run,” trainer Peter Eurton said succinctly in explaining the reason for the gelding’s success.Joel Rosario rode Bettys Bambino last out, but Eurton has Corey Nakatani booked for the Sensational Star. “He’s ridden him twice before (two thirds at Del Mar in 2014) and he’s worked him several times,” the trainer pointed out.Bettys Bambino has overcome relatively minor ailments that limited him to only 11 starts in a span of four years, among them tibia and joint issues. But with seven wins and three thirds, he has earned $378,036 for owners Sharon Alesia, Michael Mellen (Brand Jam Stable) and Joseph Ciaglia. Also ticketed for the Sensational Star are Ambitious Brew with Mike Smith and Forest Chatter under Flavien Prat.Eurton, with seven wins from 35 starts at the Winter Meet, has other upcoming stakes in view for his stable, which has earned $388,879 through Saturday’s races.Kobe’s Back is ticketed for the Grade I Triple Bend Stakes on March 11; Ashleyluvssugar for the Grade II San Luis Rey Stakes at 1 ½ miles on turf March 25; and Eclipse Award champion two-year-old female Champagne Room for the $75,000 China Doll Stakes at a mile on turf March 11.“We want to give her a taste of grass,” Eurton said of Champagne Room, who captured the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Santa Anita Nov. 4 going a mile and a sixteenth on dirt, enough to sway any wavering Eclipse Award voters to come on board for divisional honors. Coronavirus latest: Rightmove announcement on fees cut ‘due today’

first_imgSeveral agents have contacted The Negotiator to reveal that their Rightmove reps have told them to expect an announcement on a fee reduction within the next 48 hours. It is also understood that the other portals are also considering how to soften the blow that a Coronavirus-triggered market downturn may bring, including temporarily suspending or reducing their fees.Agents are said to have been contacting Rightmove in such numbers asking for help that the portal has been persuaded to do something fast to support agents. This follows anger among many customers after an email was sent out yesterday giving agents advice on how to cope with Coronavirus from both a health, staff and business perspective, but with no mention of a fee reduction or any other measure designed to ease the financial pain.Money and dataLondon agent Trevor Abrahmsohn, says that the portals should “never forget who provides the money and the data”.“They have got to be very careful about how they treat agents, many of whom are scrambling to find a few crumbs of comfort at the point in time,” he says.“If Rightmove and indeed Zoopla could find it within them to offer the warm hand of hospitality and generosity in the circumstances then that would be a good move.“But if they want to stand up against the agents, who are their benefactors in many ways, then they will do so at their peril.”Rightmove will also be mindful of its shareholders; the company’s share price dropped by nearly 6% at one point today as City investors worry that Coronavirus may create difficulties for many of its agent and developer customers.Read more: how to survive coronavirus.Coronavirus rightmove Coping with coronavirus coronavirus March 18, 2020Nigel Lewis2 commentsJeff bird, Bird estate Bird estate 19th March 2020 at 9:22 pmNo help from Rightmove, contract or not in these challenging times cancelling an over priced service seems a wise move.Log in to ReplyFriendly local agent, Friendly local agency Friendly local agency 18th March 2020 at 9:05 amSo the big announcement was that Rightmove is willing to defer some fees!
