Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month established

first_img House Resolution 94, adopted today, declares May 2015 Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month in the state of Michigan.Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. About 1,000 new cases are diagnosed each year.State Rep. Ben Glardon, R-Owosso, offered the resolution.“Approximately 1,100 children and young adults in Michigan are living with Cystic Fibrosis. Rep. Glardon said. “This resolution invites Cystic Fibrosis chapters, foundations and volunteers to come together in Michigan to raise awareness about this devastating disease this May to achieve their mission of curing and controlling the disease.”Rep.
